Being a keen gardener, I have now moved to a cottage with only window boxes,no garden whatsoever.This summer I planted bizzie lizzies in one, petunias in another and decorative leaved flowering geraniums in another,using moisture retaining compost and moisure retaining granules.The geraniums thrived, the bizzie lizzies hated it and the petunias were unsure (maybe a little lack of care as this box was on the upper floor.I have only just been able to think about re planting due to scaffolding in the way now removed. I really like those decorative ornamental cabbages I had seen a few weeks ago in garden centres or those dyed heathers, either might look good,but do either of these like conditions that geraniums like,and has anyone any other suggestions for plants also sympathetic to Derbyshire stone,which the walls are built from.
