Your perennials should do just fine without protection. You might want to use WiltPruf if you have wind. You should water them just enough to keep them from drying out, but not as much as you usually water them during active growth, maybe one a month or even less depending on how much water they get from the weather.

Howdy Marie in wa, I live in the Seattle area near the airport, and it pretty much depends on what type of winter we have. Last year was a breeze, but the year before I lost a lot of my perennials in pots. Red hot pokers, cape fuchsia's were just a few. Not to mention the water pipe that broke. That was a real mess. The previous owners had repaired it with JB weld. I can't believe it lasted almost 20 years!!!The plants in the ground were OK but pretty chancy in pots. It sounds like the protection plans you have will be pretty good. Just keep your eyes on them and hope it doesn't get too cold.
