Good luck! Everyone seems to be looking for seed for this plant but it's hard to come by. I don't think they set many seeds. Your best bet will probably be to mail order a plant (or two) then take cuttings of it or maybe it will over-winter indoors. I'm not sure on that. I just know seed is rare. Check the Salvia board- they'll know.

If you're okay w/picking up some perennials at a Big Box store, Lowes last year had gazillion of the Black & Blues. I lucked into them on sale and scooped up five of them. I'm hoping at least one or two will come back this spring especially since we had such a mild winter here. Either way, I'll be on the lookout for them at Lowes again. I agree that the seed is very rare to find. I think I remember Territorial Seed carrying it, but I'm not sure now. Seems they're mostly grown from cuttings.

I just saw the seed in the Burpee catalog.

I didn't find the seed at Burpee's web site, but I did find the plants. Which I might do!
