look in the crotch .. between a leaf and the major stem ... you ought to see small buds ... those will be triggered after cutting..

i would use a razor blade.. rather than pinch ...

you seem to have multiples... so take the biggest 3 ... and slice one at 3 inches.. one at 4 ... and at 5 ... and then give them a week ...

and then decide how to cut the rest ...

experimenting is the best way to turn your thumb green ...

i dont recall petunias ever rooting.. but i never really tried ...

study how the plants react to the various cuts .... over the whole summer... since they are more or less ground huggers.. i dont know why you would want a 6 inch standard.. but hey .. you never know until you try ...

Hehe, I have about 60 Tidal Waves going... re-rooting may be overkill but I'm having fun. If I end up with too many I can give them away.

I saw lots of things on re-rooting Petunias online, so I have my rooting hormone and non-soil seedling mixture ready.

pinch just above the bud.. and that is where the new growth will come from.. one from each leaf.. making the single stem plant branch out .... probably one new stem from each leaf ...

on a cutting.. again.. never having done this one in particular .... take the piece cut off.. with the remaining stem ... and stick the longish stem into the medium .... right down to the leaf ...

might try some cheap rooting hormone with a fungicide
