I dunno. Zinnias like "full sun". I'm not sure, at this moment, how many hours of sun that should be. I guess one way to find out would be to plant some zinnias there and see how they do. If they don't do well, try something else.

We have tall trees around here, so my zinnias don't get a "full day" of sun either, and they seem to do OK. And I am growing some under fluorescent lights right now, and I doubt if that qualifies as "full sun".

Yes mine are still under lights-but not for long.I thought I read somewhere that 6-8 hrs is considered full sun.Just wanted to be sure.

Zinnias will grow and flower with 6 hours of sun. If you have less than that, they will flower, but not be as prolific, and you may have mildew problems. Try some unusual zinnias, like low growers, or ones with tiny flowers, which still look nice even with less sun.
