Annie's IS the best, isn't she! I'm fortunate to live only 15 minutes from her nursery (but my husband says it's HIS MISfortune...). I just bought a double azalea pink on Saturday, but I really wanted the double azalea apricot but didn't see any out. I do have some seed for 'night & day' if you don't mind waiting till next year for blooms...

Softwood cuttings stuck in a four inch pot of potting soil, kept moist in shade should root quickly- tug on the cutting to see if it's got roots, then plant out. Sue

I have never done cuttings at all. How do you know where to cut? Do snap dragons get branches that you snip off? Leah

I did not know that you could grow snaps from cuttings I will definitely try that. I did order the following seed

Frosty Lavendar bells
double madame butterfly
royal bride (scented)
frosted flames (variegated leaves)
double sweetheart

I never thought of propagating snaps from cuttings before; Thanks for that tip, Al! We put in some cheap snapdragons from Home Depot in the fall, and a few of them have turned out to have the prettiest bi-color gold and coral blooms. -Nice to know I can make more.

I am late to join this forum, but any luck with the 'Double Azalea Apricot'? I recently purchased 2 and also paid the $28 shipping fee. Since the price is the same for 1-50.00 worth of plants, next year I am going to try to find a way to order everything at once. The 'Double Azalea snapdragon' is part of the Madame Butterfly Mix. It appears that there may be apricot in the mix from Sutton's seeds, but hard to say.

Last week on my second order, Annie's accidently sent me the wrong plant in my order. So, I wrote a polite e-mail suggesting I would settle for some information or seeds for the Apricot, which I have not found anywhere after an obsessive search, but they politely told me they would, of course, be sending me a new plant. So, I am hoping that means they don't have the seed, and are propogating from either stem, leave, or root cuttings.

I am smack in the middle of Kansas, just in case there are any other crazy Annie's fans in the area.

In an earlier e-mail, I asked about the seeds and they very very tight lipped about it. Very polite, but they suggested the actual seed would not grow true, since it was a hybrid.

Have you tried Park Seed catalog....i think they used to carry the Night and Day snaps........or have you tried Burpee catalog?
