Those 3 are some of the easiest plants to grow and they are all frost hardy. It takes a hard frost to kill them. They will drop their seeds and come up in your flower beds on their own, so look for them when you are outside.

The calendulas I planted last fall made it through our winter this year. They looked pitiful by spring, but they lived. Started blooming this week. I am eager to see how much heat they will take. Any bright color is welcome this early!
