I have had an ornamental weeping mulberry that I transplanted about 5 years ago. It has done very well for me so far - has kind of insignificant white flowers in the spring. It does not produce fruit; however, interestingly enough, it has two distinct leaf types. The species is Morus alba. It would be good if you did an on-line search using the genus and species of your tree if you don't think it is Morus alba. Hope this helps. My mulberry is very hardy in this area (northern West Virginia) and requires no special wintering over, except to keep it mulched and out of direct wind. Hope this helps.

Thanks Tom, This is a volenteer I dug up on a fence line and stuck in the garden until I could get to it. After about five years my wife got tired of it in her way so I pulled it out and saved two trunks. They are in pots and budding out. It has never flowered or had fruit but the leaves look like a mulberry near where I dug it. They are potted in a mixture of barn dirt and chicken grit and seem to be doing well. My main questions are how much sun and water do they need? Thanks, Zack

Zack: I would say they would do well in full sun to partial shade and make sure they stay evenly moist.
