Poor Man's Orchid (Schzianthus)

This is a new annual to me. I have never seen it in our local garden stores. Has anyone had luck growing this in Zone 7? Is it a good cutting flower? I am excited about planting it this year. Does this grow or do better in a pot as opposed to the garden? Thanks.

I grew Schizanthus years ago when I lived on the coast. I grew it on the north side garden along with Cineraria. I never tried it for cut flower arrangements so don't know how it holds up in the vase. It is very colorful in the garden, I was able to buy them in sixpacs at that time but have not seen them offered in years. Al
