I've grown them on my deck a couple of times. Great plants, flower a lot all summer. But they are frost sensitive, so annual in your zone.

I grow them in a pot and bring them in the house for the winter.
They bloom all winter.

Definitely not hardy where you are, but makes a fine house plant for winter.
