I love them too. Mine all get full sun, from early morning until around 4pm. I pinch mine to keep them fuller. When they start to get a little leggy, I pinch several of the stems each week. I don't do them all at once, just some every week. I feed mine every 2 wks with a 10-15-10 fertilizer. Make sure they're watered enough to avoid stressing the plants.

Thanks. The other day I noticed one leaf with aphids (I can't believe those darned things found it already!!!!) so I removed them and moved the whole pot to a sunnier spot, hanging near my hummingbird feeder (the hummies like the million bells too). It seems to be perking up. I find it needs water about every other day. If it gets leggy I'll try pinching. I found out after a small piece got knocked off that the flowering branches last surprisingly long when put in a small vase of water! :)

I love them too. They do need full sun. I water AND fertilize every single day. No bugs, no legginess, no problems. 1/4 teaspoon of Miracle Gro or other liquid fertilizer to one gallon of water. If we want heavy flowering, we have to feed heavily in containers where the roots quickly use up any food in the soil. (I haven't tried these in the ground--only containers.)

Having the middle number of the fertilizer higher than the other 2 will give you better flowering. I get really good flowering just fertilizing every 2 wks. The only time I water my hanging baskets every day is when it's really hot, then they dry out more. My really big pots usually get watered twice a week. They don't dry out as fast. I've never planted them in the ground until this year. I only planted 2 of them because I bought too many. :) I'm wondering how these will do in the garden.

Ours was just fine,
We have two baskets, one perfect one stressed with flies constantly buzzing around the pot. Water is draining though the plant is not root bound. Should I repot? Are the flies the problem? There are no abandoned nests with rotting eggs in the plant. Help!

Uh! Mine look terrible - getting long stems (like tentacles), ratty. It was a gift and the person is coming over 4th July so I have to keep the basket until then - and July 5th garbage day they're outta here!

Calibrachoa or Million Bells normally don't get ratty long stems, and they usually look pretty good, or even great. Did yours come with instructions for their care?
