I have about 10 Japanese Lantern trees which I started from seed 2 or 3 years ago. I've kept them dwarfed by keeping the roots trimmed. I'm looking to determine if it is worth trying to bonsai these or not? and what stylel? the leaves are split leaf - with 10 to 14 smaller leaves on each stem. The adult trees are very attractive especially in the fall when they put on their fall colors. I included a picture of the parent trees.
