Can summer wave torenia handle sun?

I just got back from the greenhouse, and realised I had brought home these 2 beautiful "large violet" torenias, and I hadn't noticed they were full or partial shade plants! Argh...I don't have any shade...anywhere. Mainly just full sun. At the very least, sun from 11:30 am on. Will these plants fry to a crisp? Or can they take the sun, as long as I keep them watered?

They will be fine. Just water every day as with most containers and fertilize often to keep the flowers coming. Mine do well in sun--I'm zone 5. You are seriously far north so should have no problem. I couldn't speak for zone 7 and farther south.

I love these new torenias and grow several every year. PW are definitely the best--bigger flowers and more of them.

I don't think I've seen that lovely dark purple torenia for sale here, but I've grown pink and blueish torenias in full, screaming sun here in Savannah and they've thrived. And self-seeded.
