Dale - do your lisianthus have a specific name? Echo? Forever? Does the tag give a height? Some lisianthus are developed to flower in the shorter days of Fall, some in the longer days of summer. It also makes a difference in how big your plants are right now....any more info you could provide?

Let's see... the name of my Lisianthus is Balboa Rose. I got them from Burpee and they're about 4"-5" tall. side question...I don't see any sign of buds. Should I pinch them back? Anyways... the description says they should grow 21"-24". Is that enough info?

Dale, you definitely have a while to wait before you will see any buds. I don't think you will see anything before July. It's a little hard to guess the actual age of your plants. How big was the container they sent you? Definitely don't pinch. That will delay flowering even more. Balboa is a cut flower variety, and takes about 125 days to bloom from the time it is SOWN.
