Crocuses are planted in the fall.......unless you mean the started potted bulbs you can find now in nurseries. Those can be planted anytime they are available and you are able to dig the planting hole.

If you still have crocus bulbs to plant, better to do so now than have them sit around all summer and get forgotten. Plant the same way as you would in the fall. They may produce some late foliage growth but just let them be.
