I too would love to hear from people about how this performs. Heat, humidity? Pots vs in ground? Value seeds offers it many times, but I never took the plunge.

I haven't grown these in the past two years but my past experience has been positive. I have had them in full sun and in hanging planters on a porch. I was always able to start them from seed so the plants were healthy. I am trying to remember if I purchased the seed from Park Seed or whites seed house. I'll have to do some research.

Thanks to all who know where to get the seed. I've never heard of Hazard. (Thanks Al) I will order and see if I can start this winter. I did find the plants at the 'good' nursery where I got them before - they had two left! Calistoga - I'm in Chicagoland and we get it all - heat, humidity, the whole lot. It's not fazed.) But I'm kind of OCD about things so I deadhead this stuff....makes it bloom more. Also use a bloom-booster (Schultz - 54% phosphate, 10% N, and 10% potash). It's gorgeous.

I've got 2 of them in pots. Unfortunately, can't remember which is which. One of doing fantastically, the other is barely hanging on. I find they bloom very nicely all summer...

Capecodder....last time I got them (2yrs go) they were 'Starshine Blue' and this time they had 'Beth's Blue'. They're both pretty much the same but I think Starshine was fuller. I dunno....memory is going. But they are both worth having and I'm wondering in which zone it would be a perennial. Amy - what/where is T & M nursery?
