Well, people have done it, but whether you can is another question - have you lots of bonsai experience? What kind of info did you need?

Lucy, hows the Bald Cypress doing?

Tim - Fat and happy (tho' it took a little beating last year before I rescued it from Hurricane Juan that we didn't get enough warning about)! I haven't chopped it (chicken!), but will consider doing it next spring... I'll leave some jinning on the top to make it look a bit 'creepy' and old. I'm so glad you came through Katrina (I saw your other postings someplace). I just hate the thought of how many others in NO didn't, and the reports every night on missing kids and all are so hard to watch. But the Quarter came thru!!

It looks like Reta is aiming for us this time. If it comes in around Houston we will get the storms here in northwest Louisiana. Should only be a tropical storm by then but it will spawn tornados and high winds. I'm already planning to move some trees off benches and to shelter. Glad to hear your cypress is doing good. You don't need to chop it anytime soon. I've chopped them at 25 feet!! The Quarter is safe for now? I'll drink to that!!
