Thunbergia?

I've never grown these before as I heard they were not heat tolerant. But nothing ventured nothing gained so this year I started some pink ones from seed in April. I know now that this was much too late to have big enough plants to put in the ground behind already established perennials. So what do I do with them? I have 2 that are just filling out thier 2 1/2 inch pots and they seem to want to twine upwards a bit, but are not particularly vigorous about doing so. I have a small trellis that might work. Maybe they would trail downward as well as going upward. I just don't know what to do with them at this point since I've never grown them and don't know how they will do as they grow up. Any help will be appreciated.......Maryl
