ID please?

A family member bought some of these from a big box store, but through away the tags. I have no idea what these are, but would like to know how to care for them properly! I don't know if I should be deadheading it or what. I love it, whatever it is :)

It is Dianthus

Yes, it's Dianthus aka Sweet William. It may come back next year, or at least self sow in your garden. It isn't a long-lived plant for me.

yes.. deahead it...

it is not reliably hardy in my z5 ... so depending on where you are.. will dictate if they will survive ...

its part of the carnation family.. and the scent is unique to that group.. and sublime ... dont you think

Sweet William. I have some growing in my garden. They have nice scent. It overwinters here in 5B.
