i would do it on a rainy day ...

or late in the evening after a good watering...

i would use a small hand trowel and get a good 8 oz cup of soil... dig the new hole first... drop in the plant.. water it well ...

most plants are very forgiving at this size... regardless of whether they allegedly like transplant or not ...

i am extremely surprised.. if you have one... that you do not have more.... you might be surprised in a few weeks ...

on the other hand... it isnt all that hard to leave it where it is.. and every other day or two .... train it to grow through everything .. back to where you want it .... might be a stunning effect ....

LOL, I know people who get a LOT of MG seedlings, for me while I have only planted them once or twice before, this is the first seedling EVER! But for some reason my yard seems to be that way over all. Johnny jump ups never reseed for me either!

Hi Jenny,

In a place as cold as yours, it is possible that some might sprouted when the weather gets warm in the spring but then got killed when it turns cold.

If this one grows well for you, maybe you want to manually save some seeds and plant them after last frost date next year, or start some indoor.

Oh I have manually planted some, but a different variety than last year. I think it would be kewl to have both growing! If I want morning glories, I have to plant them every spring.
