Could be several things....
Perhaps they need more time from seed to bloom?
Or perhaps you have over fertilized. Often blooming plants won't flower in too rich a soil. As my garndmother would say, "add too much manure and they go all to leaf".

Katladie, Did you ever get your Brazilian Fireworks to bloom. I bought some of this seed this spring and it is finally starting to bloom. Hope to get some seeds as they were very expensive.
Doesn't look any thing like a grass but they called it an ornamental grass.

Yes, I see that Lindenburg seeds has this in their catalogue, in the "ornamental grasses" section. It's actually a tropical plant, in fact I've seen it at the nursery as a houseplant too.

I bought seed last year and started them early, planted my "fireworks" underneath a hibiscus in a pot. It barely grew all season, I guess they are heavy feeders and the hibiscus was taking all the nutrients from the soil.

Anyways my plant didn't bloom last summer so I decided to pot it up and overwinter it as a houseplant. It bloomed a few times during the winter/spring (just on a bright windowsill) and I replanted outside this summer where it bloomed again and gained more width.
