have: for sase
Hi Everyone!
I'm cleaning out my hybrid seeds and thought that some of you might like the opportunity to try these without having to purchase a whole package. Email me (or post here if email via garden web doesn't work) and I'll send you my address so you can send me an SASE. You don't need to trade seeds, but I am looking for some things that I'll put at the end of the message.
I'm aiming for about five seeds per set and won't send less than that. All seeds were packaged for the 2008 growing season and are left over from mine and my sister's garden.
Tomatoes:
Costoluto Genovese- this one is a red OP
Supersweet 100- red cherry
Celebrity- red slicing
Viva Italia- red paste
Golden Rave- yellow slicing
Cucumbers:
Pickling Alibi- pickling
County Fair- pickling
Pearl- white slicing cucumber
Squash:
Rumbo- this is a gorgeous plant! It has big leaves with silver edging the veins (it looks like someone took a silver paint marker to it), lots of curly tendrils, and it produces french cheese style cooking pumpkins that look similar to cinderella's coach. I'm sorely tempted to hoard the seed, but thought someone else might like to grow a fairy tale in their garden too! It climbs quite readily.
What I would like to find (but you don't have to send anything!)
Right now I'm mostly interested in yellow/orange/bicolor tomatoes such as:
Big Rainbow
Aunt Gertie's Gold
Pineapple
Sungold
Hess
And paste tomatoes like:
Big Rainbow
Aunt Gertie's Gold
Jersey Devil
Amish Paste
Watermelon:
Big Rainbow
Aunt Gertie's Gold
Yellow fleshed moon and stars
Flowers:
Big Rainbow
Aunt Gertie's Gold
Moonflowers (mine didn't come up this year)
but I'm easy to please and would love to try anything that's tasty/pretty and likes heat and humidity. I hear Big rainbow and Aunt Gertie's Gold reaaaaaalllly love heat and humidity! No trumpet vine or anything else that will eat my yard and start gnawing on my house, thank you! Unless it's Big Rainbow, with a pot of Aunt Gertie's Gold at the end!
In all seriousness, I would like to try those two tomatoes or anything else you'd like to send, but you really don't need to send anything in trade. I'm happy to gain the room in my seed box! :)
