Morning Glory question

Just came back from a weeks vacation and found all the lower and middle leaves gone from 2 planters of M. Glories I have on my deck...The upper leaves ( twirling on a trellis) are untouched. My thought is a rabbit or woodchuck....My question is will the plant still flower....?

I would expect it to, based on the development of the remaining upper leaves.
