My red sunflower!

my red sunflower is now 7ft 1" and is now beginning to open, its called evening sun, but it from an american supplier, so its different from the ones in england. This one is going to be deep red, a little lighter than the velvet queen i grew last year which had a fantastic deep red colour and lots of beautiful branches. My sunflower currently has 5 heads but the terminal bud is just beginning to open.

i planted my sunflower a but late it is supposed to be red, it has 1 bed head which should open any day soon, and 3 very much smaller heads. I wasn't sure wether to the leave the other heads on or do i take them off? at the moment I have decided to leave them on as I can't find any information on what to do.

I have grown red sunflowers and loved them too. But my die hard favorite that everyone rants about is Moulin Rouge. It is like black velvet.
