I bought annual rye seeds from a very reputable company. I sawed the seeds on hard clay, although I did rake it for about 1/4 inch. The seeds have not covered well, because the clay is so heavy. I did put little top soil, but still the seeds are not covered well. It has been a week now. The seeds are not doing anything. Does any body think that I could add more top soil to them, and they will sprout?
