Amaranthus Caudatus Problem

I started a bunch of Love-Lies-Bleeding from seed this year. I have them in various places since so many were successful. I have two huge terra cotta pots that flank a gate in my garden. In each, I planted two Love-Lies-Bleeding along with coleus, Supertunia and sweet potato vine. The pots had the same full sun exposure and got watered at the same time. They have the same soil mix in them.

One day last week, one of the Love-Lies-Bleeding in one pot just suddenly up and keeled over, wilted. I pulled it out, glad I had a back up in the container. Within the next day or two, the second one in that pot did the same thing. The two in the other container are still totally fine and about 2 feet tall. What could have gone wrong?

I'd really like to transplant one of the remaining LLBs from the pot with two to the pot that now has none. However, I'm afraid that whatever happened to the first two in that pot is something that will afflict a transplant to that container.

I'm baffled. This is my first time growing this plant. I've tried googling problems and pests for LLB but came up with basically nothing. Help please?

Thanks in advance,

Lisa
