cosmos- please help

I have 3-4 foot very healthy looking cosmos. But they are not flowering. I grew them from seed that I put in the ground in late April. Should I be giving them a nutrient or something. I fed then a few times until I read that I shouldn't feed them. It's been about a month since I stopped feeding them.

Please help!!!!! THANK YOU

The fertilizer caused them to go vegetative. They only bloom well when DEPRIVED of nutrients.
You might pinch them back. They will fill in even better, and the new growth might produce blooms.

Right. Please do not feed the cosmos, or nasturtiums. They do not like it. It will take a while, but pinch them back and water sparingly; they will bloom. Next time, just relax and leave them alone. They will do fine.

Thank you for the info! How far back should I pinch them back? Should I take a little branch off, or should I pinch back to the branch?
