My celosia are blooming and setting seed. Does anyone know when the seed is ripe? Whats the best way to harvest large amounts of seed? I tried bagging the seedhead/flower and it was there for a full week alomosr nothing but a few seeds and ants. Has anyone ever done this? if so, how?

Any sources to heirloom varities would also be great.
