Yes, you can. Your winter temperatures are not much different from mine and it is done frequently here. They just need at least 12 weeks (upto 16 is better) at temperatures below 40F. More cold is not a concern, as long as the pot is not allowed to freeze solid. And I should think that unlikely in your area.

The chill period is more important than the possibility of a few days that drop below freezing. If your winter temperatures do not stay consistently below 40F, then you should consider those varities of narcissus that don't require as much cold to do well. Or select pre-chilled bulbs.

The daffs are recommended for growing here. It's part of the master gardener sale of Univ. of Fl.

The only 2 daffodils that have not performed well in this mild end of zone 9 are:: Division 9 - Poeticus (not enuf chill I believe) and Division 11a - Split-Cupped Collar Daffodils.
