I had planted this years ago - don't remember the type- but remember that it was about 5' tall and just loaded with flowers.

I tried it this year - commercial packet of 'Torch' and it just was not what I remrmber. I had 3 planted in a 1/2 barrel, 4 planted in a pot (bit crowded!) and 2 in the ground. All have the same plant growth - got to about 5 feet tall but the leaves and side shoots keep dying as the plant keeps growing - flowers and leaves are all on the top The most flowers that each plant has had open at any time is 3 to 5. Soil is different - barrel is kinda rich but the ones in the ground are kinda sandy and dry but same growth on both.

Is there another variety that is tall but better growing?
