I brought in several clippings of foliage to add to a small vase of flowers. Surprisingly they have formed buds and are blooming just in water in a north facing window. So now I'm planning to bring the 6" pot inside before frost...worth an experiment. Even if it doesn't continue blooming, the foliage is so lovely. josh

Just a followup: the bits of vine in water are now forming seedpods. Don't know or care if the seeds are viable...it's been fun watching their development close up.

I'm still planning on cutting back the vines on my pot outside to about 12" and bringing inside. Will harvest seedpods from outside vines to try next year just in case. josh

I saw the title of this post and it reminded me of my attempts at growing morning glories in my bedroom when I was very young. I love that that the cardinal climber is working for you though. My experience suggests that morning glories dont like to grow in the bedrooms of kids but the memory of my "magical garden thinking" makes me smile.
