Many years ago, after living at my house for three or four years, a wild petunia bloomed beside my porch. I had no idea where it came from as I never grew petunia before then.

It looked much like this.

I collected seed from it and grew it in a tub for several years beside the porch. The seedlings were predominately white (which were larger and more vigorous), with a percentage of solids and mixed... much like the Mendel's sweet pea experiments. The fragrance at night is divine.

Eventually I stopped sowing seed because they were coming up wild in my porch anyway. After several years I collected seed from Mr. Stripey (and others) and introduced them to the gene pool. These were the results of that.
