mums w/bugs

My mums have some kind of a bug.
Its not aphids, its not thrips, and its not spider mites.
Its very tiny, thin, black, has wings and its sucking the heck out of the leaves. The leaves look like something aphids or thrips would do but no sticky stuff.
I wish I could take a picture but they are so small I need a 10 power mag. just to see them. The picture would just be a leaf with a black dot.
I have been spraying but it is just a war. Never had them before.
Any one got a clue?

if you cant ID a pest... then you should NOT be spraying ...

are you sure the black dots are not scat ... fraz..???

you have ruled out.. everything i was going to suggest ...

how about a pic of the plant itself????

Your description of the culprit doesn't fit, but that is damage from chrysanthemum lacebugs. No question about it.

Googled--- They do look like the pictures and they do have wings didn't see any black ones in the pictures though.
Thanks for you help what do I do to get rid of them before I have no plants left ? They now are attacking the ones near the front door in pots?
