You could try combining White, Red and blue(violet), not that i don't think that salmon would look good, it just may look sort of pinky and you said you don't like pink. I don't have any experience with the types you mentioned, but next year I am going to try 'Shady Lady' Impatiens. They come a lot of colors and they have a great crimson red. They also have a cultivar called 'Sunny Lady' which are suppose to be some-what sun and heat tolerant. Parkseed has them from seed.

I'm not familiar with those either - I generally get the Elfin series or the Showstopper mix. Have gotten those because I prefer the lighter green leaves and the bloom colors are a better blending mix for mass plantings. I do tend to shy away from stripes, but find the light pink with a darker eye effective. Initially, I'm sort of picky, so I make sure a bud on each plant is open in the packs I buy so I know my color mix right off the bat. I will say, though, I like the salmon and the electric orange interplanted with hostas. Truthfully, I just like impatiens - great space fillers.

I've been happy with them with regards to other seed (vegetables) and like the varieties that they offer (many of them). They offer a lot of colors... Almost too many (decisions decisions decisions!)

I was debating on the Blitz?? Anyone, any experience with Blitz 3000?
