Leggy Annual Vinca

I have some of the annual Vinca 'Cooler Grape'(also called Madagascar periwinkle or Catharanthus rosea) that I've had in an indoor container for 3 years. It's getting tall and leggy now, and the lower leaves are falling off. Will it regrow and branch out if I cut it back?

Can I root the cutting I take off?

Go ahead and cut back your vincas.....used to work in a greenhouse and they did that alot......in bout two weeks time they will be budding.

Thanks! I cut them back.

What about Alternanthera 'Purple Knight'? It got too dry once, and lost most of its leaves, but they seem to be budding out again now. It's also got little white puffball flowers on it. Should I cut those off? Would I get more 'Purple Knight' if I let the flowers ripen and then planted the seeds?
