I'm not sure if these plants (typically grown as annuals) can be overwintered indoors, but unless you have a greenhouse they'd probably languish indoors and be bug magnets as well.

Much easier to save seed and start over again next year.

Thanks! I guess living up in the north here I always thought datura were annuals, which is why I posted here.

I know they can be overwintered indoors - I just wasn't sure about cutting back. Since I have so many, maybe I'll just trying cutting back a few and leaving a few as they are, and see how things go.

They can be cut back with no problems. My concern is the pot is probably packed full of roots. I would knock them out of the pots and have a look. If no soil is left to hold moisture, I would either cut back the roots and add new soil or pot up to the next size pot. Al
