I grew a small purple-leafed variety for a few years and it was a beauty - unfortunately after taking a year's planting hiatus the seed is no longer viable and I need a replacement. There are a couple of forms offered by the big seed houses (i.e. Black Pearl) which are very expensive for some reason.

Any suggestions/sources would be appreciated - for both purple and green-leafed types.

Your experiences with the "Fish" pepper are also solicited (this is a green-white variegated leaf form, supposedly an old-time pepper popular at certain seafood houses).
