"Pollen free" means that it doesn't produce pollen, and therefore doesn't make as much mess when used indoors in cut flower arrangements. It can be pollinated by another variety and produce seeds, but varieties bred for cut flowers aren't bred for large, tasty seeds: the seeds may be strictly for the birds!

Whether the plants that grow from the seeds it may bear will still be pollen free is something I don't know.

Ah thanks for the info, Kevin! I would love to be able to save seeds. Pollinating them one by one is too much for me. So I'll stay away from that type. Thanks again!

You wouldn't have to pollinate them by hand, the bees would do that for you, but you have to have another variety nearby for them to get the pollen from.
