Off Topic Post (please read )

Hi all,

I know this isnt the place to post this, but I know not everyone goes to the "conversation" site. I made a post here a while back about some witchhazel I was wanting to set up spring trades. Well..... two days after I made that post we got hit with a ice storm. We lost power for 7 days and I couldnt contact anyone. Then the third day into not having power I fell down our front steps (due to them being covered in ice), and I broke my leg! Yeah! I tell you when I hit the bottom of those steps my butt hurt more then my leg! I thing it bounced off every step on the way down!

So I will be back on making another post here soon for the ozark witchhazel. They will be ready to go by then! Lol! I just wanted to make this post so no one thought I wasnt replying to them. Thank you for reading this and if you still want to trade please let me know. Im not as quick to reply right now, but I WILL reply. Thanks, Darla.

Hi Darla - I just read your post. You should'nt be worrying about plants, just take care of yourself.
I am sure anyone wanting a trade will understand.
You will need some time to heal and get things straightened out with while having no electricity may have caused.
Plus, at least you posted that you had a situation.
My heart, goes out to you and your family.
I wish you the best of luck. My prayers are with you.

    Darla,
Wishing you a speedy recovery and that you get better and back to gardening soon. By the way, the daffs you sent last year (butter and eggs) are blooming and they are wonderful! Thanks again!

    Take care!

Get better soon! Last spring was my spring to be down, I know how it feels! It's good to get in the dirt now. I think I asked you about the witch hazel but I couldn't find an email. I'm new here so my trades are limited, would a SASBE/BEAP do or I might be able to get a few sprigs of bridals wreath for you.

    Thanks - Claudia

    Darla,
Wow, I'm a Darla too, and 1/4 irish! Are you a redhead? Get well soon . . . being a gardener a broken leg is really an unfortunate injury. Park yourself near a window and have your family put birdseed out so you can enjoy Spring vicariously.

    Hey Darla!

I was doing a search for witch hazel and this thread popped up. Wow, bless your heart that is awful that you fell down the stairs like that! I do hope you heal quickly and are able to at least enjoy the cuttings, maybe do some seed starting as well? I hope you have ample support from family and friends as well! Best Wishes on your speedy recovery!

p.s. When you get ready to trade the Witch Hazel do keep me in mind this Spring! :)

    Hugs,
    Wendy
