I've got some fairly large volunteer tree seedlings - about 1 year old- growing in a 1 gal pot.

I want to send them to a friend.

Never shipped any plants before, but those I've received via mail order have soil on the roots and are shipped in small containers.

I was reading the guides which indicate to remove soil?

Do I need to remove the soil etc. ?

I understand the roots need to be kept moist and any plastic that is wrapped around the roots needs to be kept away from the leaves.
