Outdoor wallpaper

I've just got my outdoor wallpaper (not really wallpaper obviously) put up on my fence. I'm very happy with it, looks just as nice as I imagined now it's really in my garden.

I like it. Is it painted or is it a shiny metal finish? Did you make the design?

Very cool. Can you tell us some more info? Did you design it, make it? If not, where did you get it? What made you decide to go this route?

    Designed it I wish :)

No I saw it in a magazine and I commissioned the designer to do me a design which would fit my fence. It's brushed stainless steel but she does them in other materials too. Check out her website http://www.susanbradley.co.uk/ I have some good pdfs of the standard design options too which she sent me. If anyone wants them email me at elmy.thompsonatgmail.com (@replaced to avoid spam)

In the USA this is called advertizing (notice z) I know we are supposed to be susceptible but we are not all stupid. It is a nice idea and if you believe in it promote it thru legitimate channels and good luck.

    Esthomizzy,

That's quite lovely indeed! I've not seen anything like that in the US...although am sure there are companies that probably do that.

THANK YOU FOR POSTING THE WEBSITE!!! :o) That saved me the hassle of having to 'google' for it. (Ooops...is that an advertisement for google?!)

I browsed through it and saw lots of nice photos of the designer's work. Extremely interesting concepts!

Am thinking a crafter can possibly scroll saw cut a design out of plywood or laminate and use metallic paint or any color they desire - not sure of the shelf life of that or if they could afford a sheet of tin or some kind of thin metal they could try cutting a design on that too.

Again, that designer does awesome work. That's inspiration for projects on a much smaller scale for me. Like maybe some embellishments for a birdhouse, a planter or things of the like.

Thanks for sharing your backyard wall paper!!!

Jeez some people are so suspicious. This is genuinely my back garden and I don't know the designer at all apart from having read about her work in a magazine and subsequently looked at her website and bought something from her but I do like her work otherwise I wouldn't have paid money for it. I posted the link because some people showed interest in where I got it from, in any case as I am in England and most people on here are not it would be a pretty rubbish attempt at advertising.

Other garden pictures here if anyone's interested (there are more than one of the wallpaper feature as I haven't decided which picture came out best yet and deleted all the others).

    Esthomizzy,

Several people asked for more information and it's only proper to share it!!! Am glad you posted the link.

Most of us are smart enough not to click on the link or read the post if we're not interested. You are also quite right in saying the majority of us aren't from England so advertising for that product is quite useless in regards to sales...but it is helpful for many ideas!!!

Just remembered - lots of folks around here (south Texas) have done something similar - they announce/decorate the entrance to their ranch with a gate that depicts a scene. Many have horses or wildlife designs (deer, coyotes, cactus etc) as well as the name of their ranch on an arch over the gate. Welding is a big thing down here :o)

There must be a good dozen or so gates that I see each time I drive out to visit my folks...back at the ranch.

If interested, anyone can just google for 'custom wildlife gate' to check out some designs.

Also...You've got lots of gorgeous flowers too! Thanks for sharing your photos. It's always fascinating to me to see what others in my zone (zone 9) grow way across the globe!!!
