Glad you received your seeds, Deb, good luck with them.

whisst, I will email you, and it isn't necessary for you to trade anything, but if you want to give those Alpine Strawberry seeds a good home, I will be more than happy to plant them next season.

I had seeds that (alledgedly), were heirlooms from Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's kitchen garden in the early 1800's. They came in official Monticello packaging. I started them inside, and only one was transplantable come Spring. I planted some outside later, and 0 germinated. Didn't have any luck with them. Like a CUB fan - wait till next year.

Just remember Lemon Grass is a hybrid and if the seeds were collected from a seeding Lemon Grass, THE NEW PLANT WILL NOT BE LEMON GRASS! It reverts back to the mother variety. I know from experience. I had a huge 5' tall Lemon Grass plant that seeded. I broadcast planted hundreds of seeds hoping at least 1 seed would be lemon grass. Out of hundreds, not one was Lemon Grass (no smell in the stalks or leaves of lemon). Plus the seeds love to blow around and are crazy weeds in my (and my neigbors) garden now! Great for the cats though, who love them planted in a pot to eat!
