I would start laying from the house and work outward to be sure that the patio looks like an extension of the house.
If you are going to have an edge row, lay that out and install the edge row and edging early on. This will give you a good visual idea of how it will all look when finished. Some edge row blocks will need to be tapered to fit well together. If no edge row, still lay out the edging to make sure you follw your design. The edging also makes the final cutting and fitting easier to match the smooth contour. Polymeric sand is the way to go to lock in the pavers. Make sure your base is compacted and perfect pitch in all directions for a professional looking job.

I like your paver pattern. It's nice to see an uncommon pattern (uncommon to me, anyway) that doesn't involve too much cutting.
