growing new things

It seems most on garden web trade only flower seeds. I know there is a veggie trade forum, but it gets very little traffic.

Posts for veggie seeds on the seed exchange forum are few and far between.

So, if you have never grown veggies, I think you should try at least one vegeatable next year.

Beets have pretty leaves, you could mix them in with your flowers.

You can grow pole beans up a trellis. They can be quite pretty that way.

A lot of the veggies have quite lovely blooms. I think so anyway. Someone said what is that, when walking through my veggie garden. It was a radish in bloom. She said she would plants them for their pretty flowers next year.

Here are some veggie blossom pictures

For some veggies, the color of the flower will depend on the color of the seed. White beans will yield white flowers. black bean seed will have pink or purple flowers. white rooted radish will have white flowers, and red rooted radish will have pink flowers. I think all squash, melons, cucumbers, and tomatoes have yellow flowers. corn does not have flowers, but silks and tassels. Some corn silks are a lovely shade of lavender. I think the reason veggie flowers are so pretty, is there are yummie veggies to come.
