    Hi-
I have pasted in a response that I provided about the wood when previously asked a question about another image of this same garage.
Re: the MG - I am sorry I don't have an answer to either of your questions. I am not much of a car person - but I would certainly agree it is a beautiful object.
    Here is the wood info.
So - the interesting thing about this effect is that it was actually a mistake. The wood is a resawn Douglas Fir which like many woods secretes tannin and to prevent this -- what you can see as the dark patches, or bleed out -- a tanning stain blocking coat should have been applied first. The tanning block was not applied -- and so the bleedout came through the finish coas. So -- that is how you can create this look -- the finish is a solid color stain by Olympic called "outside white. Apply this without using a tannin block and at first the wall will appear white but in time, and if memory serves, this did not take more than a few months, the tannins will naturally bleed through . If you are worried it won't happen -- I would try a sample and wait and see.
    Thanks,
    Cathy
