Is it infected? Is the area hot to the touch, red, stuff like that? Is the whole head swelled, or the back where the feathers got pulled out?

If it's an infection, you might want to swab some hydrogen peroxide on the area.

My one rooster got the back of his head pecked really bad when he was a youngster by the guineas, and he survived. But he has a red raw looking patch of skin where there aren't any feathers anymore. I hope your duck is okay, can't think of what else it may be except infection.

I'll try the peroxide, though it seems to be getting better. It is just on the back of the head, it is not red, but is or was warm. I'll check again.
But I separated the drakes from all the hens so they shouldn't be a problem for a while.
Hopefully she'll keep getting better.
