Carol I think we've both been looking for these for years. I know that some are endangered but I wonder why I can't find any of them for sale. If you are able to locate any please let me know and I'll do the same.

Same here I want them for 2 years no with no luck at all let me know if ya find some.I hope to have seed from the 2 Morrenia Odorata (Latex vine)(Strangler Vine)its the only milkweed vine I could find I grew it from seed but the cats keep it eat to grown hehe.

One of the problems I am finding is that Matalea is also spelled Matelea still doesn't help but there you go I wish they would go with one or the other and now as of today I also found some commone names by going through the Texas Native Vines Database boy was that fun!
Okay here we go girls!
Look for Green Milkweed vine that is Matelea reticulata
and also Rambling milkvine that is Sarcostemma hirtelum,
Matelea Biflora that is Two-flower milkvine or Star milkvine.
Pearl milkvine that is Matelea Edwards milkvine
I may have found Matelea Carolinesis as Carolina Milkvine.
Won't know until he goes back to his old place but I will eventually have it...

Like I said it is so hard to fine these vines!!

Hey I just found out there is a Yellow Carolina Milkvine
hard to find but it's out there and oh so pretty.

I love these vines cause one they are a vine and 2 because they are used by the butterflies and bee's. I have had some people tell me with the cynanchums that after the regular upright milkweeds are gone the monarchs go after these and eat them down to the ground sounds good to me.

Karyn they must be the easiest to find but I hope to get other types to grow it took 1 year to get these to grow.

I think my next step will be to contact the National Arboretum. I didn't see any the last time I was there but maybe they know if any is available. Does anyone know if they can be propagated from cuttings? I have Calotropis gigantea and that one is fairly easy to root.

I have the talayote growing outside my kitchen window. The seedpods are still green but i will be glad to share when they dry.
