Pinetree offers smaller amounts of seeds and there are several other companies that do the same. I've always found Fedco (free shipping for over $30 order) to be very reasonable. You might also try the Seed Exchange here on Garden Web to trade some of your extras for others you would like. There's also a seed exchange on the Vegetable Gardening Forum, but it doesn't seem to be very active.

Ok thanks - I'll look into some of those. I found some reasonable deals on seedman.com but have also read some reviews about 0% germination rates on orders from that company (although it seems to only be with the more exotic plants, not the common veggies). If it's a good company it's a good deal too...$0.95 for packets of 25 or so seeds on several varieties and then cheaper rates on others than I've seen elsewhere.

How do I get to that site?

My sister-in-law and I split the bill when ordering seeds and split up the packets when they come in. Maybe you have another gardening friend close by to do the same with? Also, I keep seed over several years, so you can always do that, too.

Le Jardin du Gourmet sells small packets for 40 cents. The packets have between 3-30 seeds.
