Hi guys! So every winter the streets are salted and sanded to make them less slippery. That makes sense right? Of course it does! Well, come spring all that sand is left on the sides of the roads. The street sweepers do come around and sweep it up, but sometimes my neighbors and I will take it upon ourselves to pile the sand up and dispose of it. I was walking home today and one of my neighbors had their sand all piled up already in four tidy piles. Rather than just get rid of this sand, could it be saved and used? Maybe to improve drainage or something? I know that it will probably be fairly salty... but I could give it a bath or something... haha. There's just so much of this that it's just a shame to see it not be repurposed... Thanks :)
