You might test it on one houseplant, & if it seems to work, use it on other houseplants;

I wouldn't use MG or other synthetics on anything that grows outside in the soil, because it can cause growth spurts that the plant can't sustain.

For example, if I were to apply MG to any garden plant, shrub, or tree right now, in the middle of a record-breakingly hot, dry summer in an area that has brutal summers anyway, it would trigger growth when the plant should be just hanging in there & marking time until autumn, which might kill the plant.
